Judoka siblings Hifumi Abe (27) and Uta (24) appeared at the opening event of the Italian fashion brand Max Mara's "Max Mara Jacket Circle - For Shining Women" in Tokyo on the 28th.

The two of them coordinated their outfits in brown, with Hifumi in a chic long coat with black innerwear. Uta, who had light-colored hair to match her outfit, combined a jacket with a mini skirt and long boots. At the photo call, the two showed their closeness by linking arms at photographer 's request.

Uta, who is participating as a model in the brand's autumn/winter campaign, reflected on her work in fashion, saying, "I usually work on tatami mats, so this was a completely different job," and said of her appearance in the photos, "I felt like I wasn't myself." Her brother, Hifumi, also said with a smile, "When I first saw the photos, it seemed like she wasn't my sister. I wondered, 'Who could that be?' There was a beautiful woman there, different from when she was doing judo."
