Paris Olympics badminton representative Aya Ohori announces international marriage on social media, says her husband, Malaysian athlete, "She said yes"
Aya Ohori (28), who represented Japan in the women's singles badminton tournament at the Paris Olympics and retired from active competition last year, updated her Instagram on the 27th to announce that she has married Malaysian badminton player Ong Yu Sin (30).
Ong Yu Sing wrote on Instagram, "She said yes. We couldn't be happier to share this with the world. Different nationalities, cultures and lifestyles. Over the years we have learned to adapt to and accept each other's lifestyles and understand each other's cultures (even though we always fight)." He continued, "Our eternity begins today."
Ohori reposted this post to report the news, along with photos of her in a wedding dress being presented with the ring, and of the large diamond ring on her ring finger.
