Comedian Barbie (40), who recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child, spoke candidly about her fertility treatment on her YouTube channel on the 11th.

When Barbie decided to get married, they discussed whether to have a common-law marriage or register their marriage, and because she "wanted to have children" at the time, she "filed a marriage registration so that she could start fertility treatment right away," and she said she began going to an infertility clinic soon after getting married.

Barbie describes herself as a "general trading company for gynecological diseases" and says she was worried about her gynecological condition, which is why she confessed, "In my early 30s, I had my eggs stored and frozen, which is now commonplace." When she was appearing on an Abema program, an obstetrician-gynecologist told her about a bridal check-up, and she "underwent a test to find out the condition of my eggs and ovaries." She was told that her AMH value, which shows the condition of her eggs, was "equivalent to that of a 39-year-old," so she thought, "That might be bad, so I frantically looked for a place where I could store and freeze my eggs."

However, back then egg preservation and other such practices were not as well known as they are today, and "the doctor came out to interview me, and suddenly, for some reason, he asked me in an angry tone, 'You're a comedian?'" Barbie resented this, saying, "I came here because I felt like I was on the edge of something," but the doctor scolded her, saying, "This is a delicate area, so don't come here to make fun of me."

Barbie said, "I'm here as a patient, what's with this guy? I got annoyed, but I told him straight out. I came because my AMH values were bad, I'm not just here to bother." She said that in the end, "we became friends, and he said he wanted people like me to spread the word," and they came to understand each other. However, she reflected, "Now I understand how the doctor felt. When I look at social media, everyone has all kinds of thoughts. I can kind of understand why he would tell people not to come just to bother."

Barbie married a younger man in April 2021 after three years of dating. In May of this year, she announced that she was pregnant with her first child after "three years of trying to conceive."
