Actress Michiko Kawai has revealed that she will be appearing on a television program after overcoming two cerebral hemorrhages. The second time, she was hospitalized two weeks before the scheduled recording date. Kawai played the role of Tsutenkaku's singing queen "Aurora Teruko" in the 1996 morning drama "Futarikko" and gained nationwide popularity.

Kawai announced in a blog post dated the 29th that the couple would be appearing together, writing, "Michiko Kawai and Junichi Minemura will be appearing together on TV Asahi 's 'Tetsuko's Room.'" This will be their third time on the show, she wrote, "The first time was in April 1997 when Aurora Teruko was there, and the second time was in March 2017, right after I was released from the hospital after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage." Regarding the second time, she wrote, "Minemura, who supported me during my hospital stay, joined me midway through."

Regarding her third appearance, Kawai said, "I received the offer because I moved to Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture after my cerebral hemorrhage and am living in an old house with a paralyzed body." However, "about two weeks before the scheduled recording date, on November 12, 2024, I was hospitalized with a second cerebral hemorrhage." However, she said, "miraculously, I did not suffer any paralysis and was discharged in just over two weeks. I was able to postpone my discharge date and was able to record safely."

This time, her husband, Minemura, appears from the beginning, not midway through. "He talks about his second cerebral hemorrhage and about living in an old house after moving," she continued.
